Whatever afterlife there is, my dad is laughing his ass off tonight. I realized this after I stomped into the house, dusty and tired, clomping along in my steel-toed work boots, hands nicked up, and grabbed a brush to knock off the worst of the dirt clinging to me before I spread it to the furniture. I could easily have been my dad, after a long day at work, at any time during my childhood. The only thing lacking was some saw dust.
I'll get to that next week.
Thank god for leftovers, I say.
Dear self, remember to take something that can play music without a streaming connection tomorrow before heading into the deadzone.
